Birthday Cake
You need:
- a nonstick cake pan (20.5 x 4 cm / 8" x 1.5")
- about 0.4 kg / 1 lb. chicken liver
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon of minced garlic
- 500 ml / 2 cups of Muffin mix (I used Quaker's Low Fat Bran Muffin Mix)
Mix all the ingredients and puree them in a food processor or blender. Pour the mixture into the cake pan and bake it at 350 degrees Fahrenheit / 175 Celsius for about 30 to 40 minutes (I use a stick to poke in the cake and if it comes out dry then I know it's cooked.) Let it cool down a bit and then cut it into bite-size pieces to serve.
You can freeze some of the cake for later.
Note: you can also use some cream cheese frosting, but it's mainly for fun and decoration. If your doggie eats too much of the frosting he/she will get diarrhea. So, I highly recommend scraping the frosting off before you serve the cake.
